The Katie Wilkinson Research Scholarship has been established in association with the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia.

Its purpose is to provide up to three annual scholarships for undergraduates approaching their final year. It is intended that the scholarships will enable the successful students to carry out research abroad for their final year projects within the field of Environmental Sciences.

Project proposals will be short listed by the University staff and the final candidates will be selected by the trustees

It is intended that the first scholarships will be awarded in May 2007. On completion of the projects summaries of the research will be made available on the website in the autumn semester.

We feel that the Research Scholarship will be a lasting legacy for Katie and keep her name alive. Whilst Katie’s potential can never be fulfilled we hope that the Scholarship will help many other students to fulfil theirs.
